HELPING YOU PREPARE FOR TJC SURVEYS
whether virtual or in-person
Recent news from The Joint Commission discusses an initiative to conduct life safety and environment of care surveys completely virtually. Currently being considered by the CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), the program would rely on virtual interviews, digital technology, mobile cameras (e.g. Go Pro, etc.) and cloud-based sharing of documentation to ensure compliance via “remote inspection.”
First conceived in March when the pandemic escalated in the US, the approach has been piloted at two facilities, and results are pointing toward the success of the program in performing thorough and meaningful compliance assessments while still maintaining the recommended safety practices of social distancing, limited travel, and reduced group sizes.
That said, we are still providing all necessary Fire Barrier Management inspections and repairs that are required. We are happy to come to your facility and provide you with outstanding service and the detailed documentation required to keep you compliant.
Our PREVENT technical teams fully adhere to all hospital/system requirements and our own comprehensive protocols to ensure the safety of everyone concerned, at all times.
Whether your next life safety inspection is live or digital, we’re still hands-on to help you prepare and make sure you pass with flying colors.
